ILASIK
ILASIK is the most advanced and most popular laser technology used today. It is applied with personalized IntraLase laser technology under computer control. In this operation, laser and corneal flap and personalized advanced and customized treatment (wavefront) are applied. The application is personal because the personal vision quality of the patients is different from each other. The entire application is planned according to the patient's eye findings and eye structure. iLASIK technology is a form of therapy approved by NASA and the US Army for astronauts and air force pilots. This explains the accuracy of the applied therapy. In clinical studies on patients within 1 year after iLASIK treatment, it is seen that 100% of mc patients and more than 95% of all patients participating in the study passed their driving tests without glasses and contact lenses. 98% of mild or highly myopic patients stated that they had 10/10 or better vision without glasses and contact lenses. Participants with mild or high myopia had better night vision after treatment.
Application and Treatment Process
The patient is awake during iLASIK surgery. Therefore, a sedative can be given first to relieve excitement and relax. To numb the eyes, anesthetic drops are used. Very slight pressure is felt during application in the numb eye. The application can be applied to both eyes on the same day.
Before Application
The patient is subjected to a comprehensive examination that will show whether they are suitable for surgery.
Individual plans of the eyes are made using the software. This plan is one in which the eyes will follow the steps to be corrected with a laser.
During Application
After the laser procedure used to create a thin flap in the cornea, a second laser procedure regains its vision.
This second laser reshapes the cornea according to the patient's vision and eye characteristics.
LASIK flap is then placed in its place and the iLASIK operation is completed. This fix is entirely driven by the computer.
The entire process takes quite a short period of time. Immediately after the procedure, patients begin to see much better.
At the end of the application
After application, doctors will give various instructions during the healing process. Follow-up appointments and other instructions are important to follow. Immediately after application, as part of the care, the patient is given eye shields to protect his eyes. The patient is asked to wear sunglasses. Most patients can start regular activities such as sports exercises one week after iLASIK surgery.
Advantages of the iLASIK Method
The iLASIK method with proven efficiency includes a technology that has been FDA approved. Visual acuity obtained with this application is very high. Since it is a personalized treatment, each stage is based on the eye structure and vision capacity of the person. This process uses the latest developments in laser technologies efficiently. With iLASIK, a personalized flap is created and flap complications are minimal. The risk of slipping and wrinkling is much less. Patients with thin corneas who cannot have normal LASIK treatment also have the chance to have laser treatment. Wavefront treatment provides clearer vision than expected. The patient is less disturbed by the high lights of car headlights at night. Recovery with iLASIK is fast and reliable.
